The Golden Acorn Quest

Penny the Squirrel ran across the sunny meadow, her brown fur shining. She held her scarf as it flew in the breeze. “Oliver!” she called to the owl on the tall oak tree. Lily the Princess stood nearby in her pink dress. Penny’s voice shook. “The golden acorn is gone!” she said. The meadow was very quiet, listening to their problem.

The wind smelled like pine. Oliver the Owl spread his wings. “We must look in the magical forest,” he said. Lily the Princess nodded, her eyes sparkling. Penny the Squirrel’s heart beat fast. The three friends held paws and wings and stepped into the forest together.
